Welcome.
Our Philosophy: The Art of Living Landscapes
At The Garden Artist of St. Augustine, we believe a garden should be more than an ornament—it should be an experience. We bridge the gap between rigorous botanical science and intentional visual design. By honoring the unique coastal climate of St. Augustine and the personal stories of the homeowners we serve, we create outdoor sanctuaries that are as sustainable as they are beautiful.
Our process is simple and thoughtful.
We offer a selection of packages to meet your private sanctuary’s needs. Book a consultation online to begin imagining the possibilities.
In-person and remote options
We are conveniently located in St. Johns County, Florida. Proudly serving the greater St. Augustine and Jacksonville areas in person.

Our Story
One of my grandma’s many container gardens when I was growing up
Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, beautiful, lasting work.
Hello.
My name is Christine Jordan, and for me, a garden is more than just a collection of plants—it’s a living canvas. I believe that life is art and should be lived as such.
My journey began not in the dirt, but in the pages of books. A childhood passion for reading sparked a lifelong obsession with Botany, leading me to study Horticulture starting in high school and ultimately earning my *Master Gardener certification in 2008.
The Garden Artist Core Values
1. Science-First Design
We don’t just "plant pretty things." With Master Gardener expertise and a background in Horticulture, every species we recommend is chosen for its ability to thrive in your specific micro-climate, soil type, and sun exposure.
2. Intentional Artistry
Drawing from 20 years of professional design experience, we apply the principles of scale, color theory, and balance to the natural world. Our goal is to create a visual "flow" that complements your home’s architecture and draws the eye exactly where it belongs.
3. Heritage & Hands-On Knowledge
Gardening is in our blood. We value the practical, time-tested wisdom passed down through generations of "subsistence gardeners." This means we understand the grit and hard work required to make a garden grow, not just how it looks on a screen.
4. Client-Centric Vision
We have no "signature style" to impose. Instead, we use our technical knowledge to act as a conduit for your vision. We listen first, then design a space that feels like a natural extension of your personality and lifestyle.
5. Environmental Stewardship
We respect the Florida landscape. Whenever possible, we prioritize Florida-friendly and native species that support local pollinators and require fewer resources, ensuring your garden gives back to the earth as much as it gives to you.
